SPINVINYL
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Spin Vinyl, operated at spinvinyl.co ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Spin Vinyl.
Spin Vinyl is a vinyl record collection management application that allows users to catalog their records, manage a wishlist, discover new music, and optionally share their collection publicly. The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue it at any time with reasonable notice.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Spin Vinyl. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. Deletion permanently removes your data from our systems.
You retain ownership of the content you submit to Spin Vinyl — your collection data, wishlist, notes, and profile information ("User Content").
By submitting User Content, you grant Spin Vinyl a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content you upload, including cover art images. We do not claim ownership of third-party album artwork retrieved from Discogs, MusicBrainz, or Cover Art Archive — these remain the property of their respective rights holders and are used under fair use for personal cataloguing purposes.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Spin Vinyl offers optional public sharing of your collection, wishlist, and trophies via shareable URLs. When you enable public sharing, your content becomes visible to anyone with the link, without requiring them to log in.
You can disable public sharing at any time via Settings → Privacy & Sharing. Disabling sharing removes public access but does not delete your data.
You are responsible for what you choose to make public. Do not include personal information in your public collection notes that you would not want others to see.
Spin Vinyl integrates with Spotify, Discogs, Anthropic, MusicBrainz, and Supabase. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of these services.
Connecting your Spotify account is optional and grants Spin Vinyl read access to your currently playing track. You can disconnect at any time via your Spotify account settings.
The "Identify Cover" feature uses Anthropic's Claude API to analyse photos of album covers. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:
The Spin Vinyl name, logo, interface design, and software are owned by Spin Vinyl and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
Album artwork, artist names, and music metadata displayed in the Service belong to their respective rights holders. Spin Vinyl retrieves this information from third-party databases for personal cataloguing purposes only.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy of any album metadata, pricing information, or AI-generated content.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPIN VINYL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Spin Vinyl and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If changes are material, we will provide notice within the app at least 14 days in advance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Maryland.
