The Creator
Hi, I'm Trey.
I've been a lover of music for decades, but a vinyl collector for only about six months. It turns out those six months were enough to build a 600-record collection and a piece of software to go with it.
By day I work in strategy and operations consulting. By nature I'm an amateur musician — a student of guitar, piano, and harmonica — with the specific and slightly unrealistic dream of becoming a showstopper Delta Blues guitarist. The records on my shelves are the education I never got in a classroom.
For me, a vinyl record is the ultimate intersection of history, music, art, technology, economics, and culture — pressed into twelve inches of black wax. Collecting them is a way of paying attention to all of it at once.
